Purdue Polytechnic High School Broad Ripple Ranks #1 Among Marion County Public High Schools for SAT College Readiness

PPHS Broad Ripple achieves the highest percentage of students meeting both English and Math college benchmarks in the county.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — August 13, 2026 — According to newly released data from the Indiana Department of Education, 41% of Purdue Polytechnic High School Broad Ripple students met both SAT College Readiness Benchmarks—the highest percentage of any public high school in Marion County. Broad Ripple students also demonstrated exceptional academic growth, improving their SAT scores between grades 10 and 11 at a rate more than twice the statewide average. Together, the results demonstrate that students are not only reaching high levels of college readiness, but making significant academic progress along the way.

The results continue a remarkable two-year trajectory for PPHS Broad Ripple, which has more than doubled the percentage of students meeting both SAT College Readiness Benchmarks since 2024.

PPHS Broad Ripple’s success extends well beyond its overall ranking, with many of its strongest results coming from student groups that have historically been underrepresented in college-readiness outcomes. Broad Ripple ranked first among all Indiana public and private high schools in the percentage of both Hispanic students and Special Education students meeting both SAT College Readiness Benchmarks. Broad Ripple’s Black students met both benchmarks at more than twice the Indiana statewide rate, while students receiving Free or Reduced-Price Meals ranked first in Marion County and second statewide. Together, these results show that PPHS Broad Ripple is not only raising overall achievement but also delivering strong college-readiness outcomes across all student backgrounds, income levels, and learning needs.

“Our students and staff continue to show what is possible when we set high expectations and provide the support and opportunities students need to succeed,” said Dr. Keeanna Warren, CEO of Purdue Polytechnic High Schools. “Ranking first in Marion County for SAT college readiness reflects the work happening every day across PPHS. We are preparing students not only to be ready for college, but to find their voice, realize their potential, and persistently pursue their next giant leap.”
