PPHS was founded by Purdue University to rethink high school and prepare more students—especially those underrepresented in STEM—for college and careers. Students at PPHS get early access to Purdue resources, mentorship, and a direct admissions pathway to Purdue University for qualifying graduates.

There is no formal uniform, but students are expected to wear a Purdue t-shirt (provided by the school) and school-appropriate bottoms each day. It’s part of showing pride in our community and staying focused on learning.

Nope. PPHS is a free public charter school. There are no tuition costs or required fees to attend.

No. PPHS is open to all students. There are no test scores, GPAs, or other requirements to apply or enroll. We welcome students from all backgrounds and academic levels.

Yes. PPHS works with local transportation partners to help eligible students get to and from school. Transportation options may vary by campus. Contact your campus for specific details.

Yes! Students have access to free breakfast and lunch each school day. Meals follow nutritional guidelines and accommodate dietary needs where possible.

Yes. While the learning experience at PPHS is unique, students earn state-recognized credits and traditional transcripts that meet Indiana graduation requirements. Colleges and universities recognize these just like any other accredited high school transcript.

Yes! In addition to core academic courses like English, math, science, and history, students select passion projects based on their interests, whether that’s journalism, engineering, entrepreneurship, or something else entirely.

Every student is paired with an Advisory coach who helps them set goals, stay on track, and build strong relationships. Plus, students work in teams with project leads and mentors who support their learning every step of the way.

Yes. PPHS provides Special Education services and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students who qualify, in compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Yes. Students who are learning English receive English as a Second Language (ESL) services to help them succeed in both language and academic development.

Yes. Each PPHS campus has access to a school nurse or health professional who supports student wellness and provides care when needed during the school day.

Enrollment is lottery-based. If seats are still available after the lottery, we accept students on a first-come, first-served basis. Families are encouraged to apply early.

Absolutely. Students take a variety of elective courses, and they also get access to unique project-based experiences that go far beyond traditional electives, like building a go-kart, launching a business, or producing a school news show.

Yes! Students can participate in a variety of school sports depending on campus offerings. Athletics help build teamwork, leadership, and school spirit.
